He was born on September 16, 1948, to Joseph and Bonnie Simmet in Wisconsin Rapids.
As per Dan's request, no services will be held.
Dan loved spending time with his family, feeding the birds- no matter the weather, and golfing with his buddies.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Simmet; daughter, Amy (Matt) Smith; sisters Jennifer (Bob) Grossbier, Lisa Rucinski, and ZoeAnn Kieta; grandchild, Leigha Peterson; great grandchild, Livia Hintz, and sister-in-law, Ginny Simmet.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary Simmet, and brothers-in-law, Tim Rucinski and Ted Kieta.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Wire Fox Terrier Rescue Midwest in Dan's name. Checks can be made out to "Wire Fox Terrier Rescue Midwest" and sent to PO Box #141, Dumont, IA, 50625.
