It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Frank Stainton, an adored Husband, Son, Father, Brother, Uncle Gus-Gus, Grandson, Nephew, and friend. Danny was born in Port Charlotte, FL, on December 19, 1985, and passed away on November 10, 2025, at the young age of 39. Danny was a kindhearted jokester whose sense of humor and generosity knew no bounds and who left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Danny was a tradesman who excelled at everything he did. He was the hardest of workers, a mentor to those around him, and a father through and through. With his infectious laughter, easy demeanor, and compassionate personality, Danny had a way of drawing people in, brightening the day, and making anything relatable. He found joy in life's simple pleasures and valued his family above all.
Danny's gentle spirit and playful heart will forever echo in our own. We invite family and friends to join us at the Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda on November 16, 2025. A viewing will be held from 4:00-5:00 pm with services beginning at 5:00 pm. A reception will follow from 5:30-7:30 pm where we hope that all who knew him will come and share their stories and memories to help us celebrate his life.
Danny is survived by his wife, Melissa, and his beloved children, Skylar, Aiden, Ainsley, and Zooey. He was the favorite son of Denise Stainton, the grandson of Peggy Stainton, and the nephew of Charlie and Dean Stainton. Danny also leaves behind his sister, Linda Lyerly, his twin sister, Danielle Potts, and sisters Randi Lee and Cassidy Kalinoff, as well as his mother-in-law, Debbie Barber, father-in-law, Dana McGovern, sister-in-law, Chrissy Cummo, and nieces and nephews, Ta'teanna, Emma, Lena, Brooke, Parker, Laila, Reagan, Bentley, Quinn, Jazmyn, and Brady.
