Daniel Steele Obituary

Daniel Nathan Steele, 34 of North East, MD, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

He was born in Newark, DE on March 21, 1990 and was a 2008 graduate of North East High School.

Daniel was a resident of North East where he lived with his fiancée Erin and their son Gideon. Dan loved being a father and loved the life he was building with Erin. He also enjoyed playing Magic the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons and was a very good juggler. Dan and Erin opened Eternal Lore Games in North East together in 2017, so that they could share their love of magic, D & D and other tabletop games with their community. Dan also worked at Amazon in North East. He was also an installer for Care Free Kitchens and New Frontier Builders of America.

Survivors include his fiancée: Erin Crothers and their son: Gideon Sol Crothers-Steele, both of North East, MD; his mother: Sonya (Moore) Chandler (Duane) of Nottingham, PA; father: H. Dean Steele, Jr. of Oxford, PA; two brothers: Stephen D. Steele of Oxford, PA and Joshua A. Steele (Annie) of Smyrna, DE; stepsisters: Hilary Moore (Keith) and Rachel Henley (Joe); paternal grandmother: Barbara A. Steele of Oxford, PA; and maternal grandfather: C. Vernon Moore (Sally) of Hartley, DE. and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 South Main Street North East, MD. Additional visitation at the funeral home will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 19, 2024, with funeral services starting at 11:00 am. Interment will follow services in Friends Cemetery, Calvert, MD.

Our celebration of Daniel's life will continue between 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm at North East VFW Post 6027, 815 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD.

In remembrance of Daniel, please check your carbon monoxide detectors regularly.
