Daniel A. Stepp, 68, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2024. Born on May 31, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Charles and Rose (Mierzejewski) Stepp.
Dan was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and brother-in-law who treasured his family above all else. A fun-loving man with a heart full of generosity, he always brought joy to those around him. Known as a "good guy" by everyone, Dan was the person you could count on to lend a helping hand or fix just about anything. His dependable nature, warm spirit, and selflessness left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Dan had a deep love for Cleveland sports, passionately cheering on his favorite teams through every season, win or lose. An accomplished athlete himself, he passed down his love for athletics to his children and grandchildren, from playing games to teaching and watching them grow in their own talents. His legacy of sportsmanship, teamwork, and a love of competition will live on through them.
Dan was a proud laborer for Local 310, where he worked with dedication and integrity. His strong work ethic and loyalty to his trade were admired by all who knew him.
Dan's memory will be cherished by his wife of 35 years, Dianna (Vaughan) Stepp; his children, Heather Smith, Samantha Stepp, Daniel Stepp (Briana Sfero), and Zachary Stepp; and his cherished grandchildren, Kennedy and Mackenzie. He also leaves behind his sister, Charlene Marusa (Rich), and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose Stepp; and siblings, Richard and Denise.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Dan will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City.
Dan's generosity, humor, and the love he shared with all will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew him.
Please share condolences on Dan's tribute page at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
