Daniel Ray Sturgill, 66, of Bradenton, FL, peacefully passed away on October 20, 2024, surrounded by family and friends in Bradenton, FL. Born on April 23, 1958, Daniel was a man of remarkable talents with a passion for innovation. Throughout his diverse career, Daniel made significant contributions to various industries. He worked with Excalibur and Wellcraft Marine, bringing his creative spirit to the marine sector. He also spent several years as an owner-operator truck driver for North American. Daniel embraced the role of a stay-at-home dad, dedicating some time to building structures like a barn, office, and guest house, and renovating his family home. His commitment to family extended into volunteering at his children's schools and serving as a chauffeur to countless school activities. Daniel's work with Aquarium Doctor and Frosty Air showcased his versatility before he eventually retired.
Daniel's hobbies were a reflection of his adventurous and skilled nature. He was passionate about building boats and motorcycles. His craftsmanship allowed him to create memorable experiences on the water and on the road.
He was a gifted cook, known for preparing delightful meals that became the centerpiece of Sunday afternoon family gatherings. Daniel's love for life and generosity touched everyone he met, making strangers feel like old friends and leaving a lasting impression wherever he went.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Sturgill; daughter, Carolyn Roberts and her husband David Roberts, along with grandchildren, Hannah and Landon Roberts; and son, Cody Sturgill, his wife Tracy Sturgill, and son, Casey Sturgill, along with his beloved dog, Harlee. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Sturgill; mother, Carolyn Sturgill; and sisters, Cheryl Sortwell and Elaine Sturgill.
A service to celebrate Daniel’s life will be held early Spring 2025 at the home which Dan and Suzanne transformed, and created a small paradise over the past 36 years, where family, friends, dogs, horses and chickens, have enjoyed countless cherished moments and a wonderful life.
