Daniel Patrick Thatcher

Daniel Patrick Thatcher, 52, of Skandia, MI passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023, while in his sleep at KI Sawyer.
He was born June 4, 1970 in Battle Creek, MI, while his dad was serving in Vietnam. He was an Army dependent who moved with his US Army family over 25 times in 10 different school districts. He had a journalism degree from the University of Maryland in Germany, was the college newspaper editor and worked for Armed Forces News in Italy.
Daniel worked for the Environmental Protection Agency in Philadelphia with Volunteers for Service to America. He was a property manager at KI Sawyer for over a decade.
He was an avid Dungeon & Dragons Master. He loved traveling throughout Europe, Hawaii and America, but especially loved the road trips with his three brothers.
Daniel is survived by his children, Lachlan and Lillian Thatcher of KI Sawyer; parents, Judy & Les Thatcher of Skandia; three brothers, Brian of Detroit, Kevin of Lansing and Joshua of Skandia; and several nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Daniel's Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm at the family residence, 466 Townhall Road, Skandia, MI 49885.
