Daniel Eugene Thompson

Daniel "Danny" Eugene Thompson, Jr., 55, soulmate and husband of 35 years to Shelley Reece Thompson, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Danny was born October 5, 1967 in Spartanburg, SC. He was the son of the late Daniel Eugene Thompson, Sr. and Barbara Louise Guinn Thompson. Danny was a Master Electrician and co-owner of Reece Electric.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather (Pop Pop). Danny always had a warm, welcoming smile on his face and anyone that knew him knew how much he loved them.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons, Daniel Eugene Thompson III (Tara) of Inman, Dylan Reece Thompson (Kaitlyn) of Myrtle Beach, and Reece Chandler Thompson (Ashton) of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Aariah Hope Thompson, Kennedy Rae Thompson, Grant Kenneth Thompson and Gideon James Frick; beloved father and mother-in-law, Johnny and Margaret Reece of Boiling Springs, and numerous other family members that he loved dearly. Special thanks to Jennifer "JJ" Fowler, Fletcher, RayAnn and Alanna for their love and care for Danny.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 1:45 PM Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Keith Davis. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
Pall Bearers are Daniel, Dylan, and Reece Thompson, Fletcher and Buck Fowler, and Jacob Frick.
