It is with profound sorrow that we mourn the passing of Dan Thoren, a beloved member of the Thoren family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his siblings, Allen Lee Thoren, Deanna Mary Melin, Jeffrey Scott Thoren, Lori Anne Nelson, and Lenore Andrea Klegin.

In his lifetime, Dan’s warm heart and selfless nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing of knowing him. His family always held a special place in his heart, and his presence will be deeply missed by his relatives and friends alike.

In addition to his deep family connections, Dan had a passion for the finer things in life, including the green fairways of golf courses with his father and brothers, the blue reflective waters from a fishing boat, and the bright lights of casinos. His love for these pastimes brought joy and excitement to his days, adding a sparkle of fun and adventure to his journey.

His legacy lives on in the hearts of his daughters, Danielle and Amanda, and his son, Devin. Dan’s spirit of selflessness and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother, Karen Hansen; and stepfather, Stephen Hansen.

He is survived by his father, Al Thoren Sr.; stepmother, Ann Thoren; and his siblings, children, and grandchildren.

A celebration of life in honor of Dan Thoren will be held on August 10th at his sister Lori’s house, (37195 Eldorado Beach Rd, Battle Lake, MN 56515), following a memorial service at 11 am at Zion Amor Cemetery (30953 Larson Rd, Battle Lake, MN 56515). Join us as we gather to remember and honor a man who brought light and love to all those around him. May his soul find peace in the embrace of eternity.
