Brian Eric Krieg, 48, of Duluth, MN, passed away the evening of February 15, 2026 at his home.

Brian was born in Duluth to Paul and Leona Krieg on August 7, 1977 at 9:47 am where he was welcomed by his parents and his proud grandparents. He went to Duluth East High School and graduated in 1996. He went to Lake Superior College for broadcasting. He worked at a number of different places, but his true love was assisting with technology and sound equipment. Brian was interested in photography and was constantly looking to upgrade his equipment and skills. He also discovered a passion for cooking and baking, particularly making bread. He truly excelled at this new hobby.

Brian had some health issues in his later years, but was always out and about, visiting with friends and doing what was most important to him. Brian could talk to anyone and was always willing to share his opinion! He kept in close contact with his family who will miss him dearly.

Brian is survived by his son, Gabriel Krieg; mother, Leona Krieg; father and stepmother, Paul and Pat Krieg; sister, Stephanie Krieg; and many friends and relatives.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the health care providers at Essentia who took such good care of Brian. The family also wants to take a moment to express their gratitude to all the health care workers at the Fresenius Center in West Duluth. Your dedication, patience, and expertise have not gone unnoticed.

Memorial service to be held at a later date, details pending. Those details will be available on the Sunrise’s website as they become available.
