Daniel Utley Obituary
Daniel Lee Utley, 62, of Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
Daniel was born in Marion, Ohio, on November 14, 1962, to Thomas Woodrow Utley of Marion, and Bernice Jean (Sipes) McCoy of Illinois. He married April Cavinder on January 25, 2014, and she survives in Carlisle, Indiana. Daniel is also survived by a daughter, Dangela Utley; five step-children: Robert Wray, Tiffany Cavinder, Kevin Mason, Clayton Mason, and Gavon Karstetter; three grandsons: Loren Johnson, Ryan Harrell, and Jace Harrell; siblings: Thomas Utley of Upper Sandusky, Tim Walker of Marion, Judy Kline of Mansfield, and Lisa Ford of Cardington; mother-in-law Lorna Porter of West Liberty; and brother-in-law Arthur B. Cavinder of West Liberty.
Daniel was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jeff Walker and David Utley.
Daniel worked for many years as an over-the-road truck driver. He loved fishing, boating, and living life to the fullest.
Jimmy McIntyre will officiate Daniel’s funeral service on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 1pm at Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, West Liberty, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
