Obituary of Daniel G. Valencia
Danny G. Valencia was born on November 28, 1930 in Whittier, CA to Manuel and Manuela Valencia. He passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2023 at the age of 92.
A lifelong California native, Danny was well loved in his small town and most days could be seen walking around his neighborhood greeting people with a smile. He was an employee for Tri-Valley Cannery for over 42 years and also worked fifteen years at the Senior Community Center.
Danny loved driving his old 47 Chevy Fleet master with his family, attending church every weekend, dancing at family gatherings and going to the flea market and sitting out in the sun feeding the birds.
Danny was the father of seven children. He and his wife Bertha worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their children. He was very proud of all his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandchild.
Danny is preceded in death by his wife Bertha, his grandson Nick, twin brother Joe, other brothers, Vincent, Richard and Larry. He is survived by his children, Theresa Caballero (Robert), Eleanor Miller (Steve), Phyllis Vasquez (Carlos), Eddie Valencia (Francis), Julie Husain (Syed), Leonard Valencia (Millie), and Paula Valencia (Steven). He is also survived by his two sisters; Delia Leon (Manuel Guevara) and Rachel Sotelo (Ruben), his Uncle Gabriel and many nieces and nephews. Despite his large family, he always made time for everyone providing love and support.
