Daniel David VanDeMark, 88, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
He was born on October 9, 1937, in Piqua, Ohio to Daniel Vivian VanDeMark and Della Kenworth VanDeMark, his stepmother was Marie Ladner VanDeMark. He graduated from Gulfport High School and then served in the Navy for 30 years. After his retirement, he was employed as a Senior Service Engineer with Raytheon Service Company. He enjoyed camping, boating, golf and wood carving.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Della VanDeMark, sisters, Carolyn VanDeMark, Danah Bunch, and brother, Robert Ladner.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Lee VanDeMark, sons, Brian VanDeMark (Cathy), Daniel VanDeMark (Kathleen), granddaughters, Amelia Hardcastle (Austin), Elizabeth VanDeMark, Hannah VanDeMark; great granddaughter, Flora Hardcastle; and siblings, Jeanette Metcalf, Judy Wilson.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 1pm at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, MS.
