Daniel S. Velez

Daniel S. Velez, 41, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Daniel had a deep passion for music. He loved to sing and rap, and was proud to be a part of the music group the WoodFellas. Above all, Daniel cherished his role as a father. His daughter was the light of his life, and he loved her more than anything in the world. He will be remembered for his talent and the love he shared with his family and friends.Survivors include his daughter, Melody Velez and her mother, Rosie McDonald; mother, Sara Santana; siblings, Jasmine Sterling, Jaime Velez, Anthony Quiles, and Gabriel Quiles; maternal grandmother, Antonia Padilla; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 8th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at FARONE & SON, Inc. Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Loomis Hill Cemetery.
