Nelson Velez Obituary
He was born in Lajas, Puerto Rico on August 16, 1946.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Alba Matos; sons, Nelson Matos and Francisco Matos; grandchildren, Luis Matos, Christian Torres, Anthony Matos, Shalimar Matos, Julianna Torres, Paola Matos, Tamara Matos, Jasmine Matos, Jennifer Matos, and Angelie Martinez; great grandchildren, Zaeliel, Valentina, Athalia, Aziel, Ethan, Jesiah, Gabriela, and Aneisha. Also left to remember him are his brothers and sisters, Ana Matos, Abraham Matos, Efrain Matos, Virgen Matos, Melvin Matos, and Edwin Matos.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Jose Nunez officiating.
Graveside Services will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.
