Daniel H. Walgren

Daniel H. Walgren, a proud Stamford, CT resident whose heart belonged to the city he loved, passed away suddenly on November 30, 2025 at the age of 64. Born and raised in Stamford, he carried a deep knowledge of its history and charm, stories he shared proudly with everyone he met. To know him was to know Stamford through his eyes… vibrant, evolving, and full of character.

Dan spent much of his life in the hospitality industry, where his warm spirit, quick wit, and unforgettable personality left a lasting impression on many people. For the past 20 years, he proudly owned and operated his own Pepperidge Farm bread route, a role that allowed him to build genuine connections throughout the community. His coworkers appreciated him not just for his dedication and reliability, but for the joy and light he brought with every stop.

In his free time Dan loved going to concerts with friends and family, reminiscing on the great times of the 70s-80s, he was a lover of all things NASCAR and golf, and a proud member of the German American Club. Dan could always be found with pizza and an IPA beer in hand, like the true pizza connoisseur he was.

Dan will be remembered for his big heart, his unwavering work ethic, and the way he made every person feel seen. His wife and two daughters were the center of his world, the source of his strength and deepest happiness. They brought him a joy he carried proudly in everything he did, and his days were brightest when spent with them. His love for his family, his hometown, and the people around him will live on in the many lives he touched.

Dan is survived by his wife, Thuy, and his two daughters, Taylor (Austin) and Sydney (Michael). He is also survived by his father, Herbert (Michelle), his mother, Joyce, his brother, Kevin, and his sisters, Karen, Joelle, and Arielle (Demetrios). He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 1pm to 4pm at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation at 453 Shippan Ave. Stamford, CT. A Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home at 4pm.
