Daniel (Goober) James Wallace, 81, of Meadville passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. He was born to Harry & Gloria (Dunlap) Wallace on March 5, 1944. He married the former Carol A. Taylor in 1970, she survives.
He was a very loving, caring man. He enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets and going on egg and fruit runs with his friend Butch, Eating out was a favorite for him. He loved fishing and hunting. Going to one of the many clubs he was a member of ... Legion, VFW, Sportsman’s Club.
He was born in Meadville, Pa and attended Conneautville School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran; he served his country working on a Self-propelled 155 Howitzer and spent time in Germany. He retired after 33 years with Norfolk and Southern- previously Conrail. He enjoyed collecting train memorabilia and old coins. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters: LaVaughn Wallace of Meadville, Tina Fell (Andrew) of Jamestown, step sons, Jerry Blood (Pat) of Linesville, Kenneth Blood of Edinboro, and Step Daughter Alberta Pace of Conneautville. Grandchildren; Brittney Schley (Matthew, Sr.) Daniel Shubbuck (Morgan) of Saegertown and Connor Fell of Jamestown; Great Grandchildren: Matthew Schley Jr. and Olyvia Schley; Plus many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Harry Wallace, Jr.and Arthur Wallace and a sister, Judith Garlick and her husband Hank Garlick, twin granddaughters Katelyn and Kayla Fell.
Family and Friends can call on the family on Monday, April 28th from 4-6 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. Military honors will be conducted at 6 p.m. A funeral diner will follow at the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 7842, 6913 Gehrton Road, Linesville.
