Obituary For Daniel Lynn Watson
Daniel Lynn Watson, "Sidecar", 69, died January 20th at his home in Bowie, Texas.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27th, at Freedom Life Church in Bowie, TX with Pastor Chad Word officiating.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 26th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.
Daniel was born on June 27, 1955 in Syracuse New York, he was raised on a strawberry farm by his grandparents. He hitchhiked south to Arizona in his 20s where he worked construction for a bit before finally landing here in Texas.
A trucker through-and-through, Daniel took great pride in his career as an accomplished diesel mechanic, earning multiple awards before hitting the road to travel the country. When he wasn't on the road, he could be found catching wind on his motorcycle, hanging at the clubhouse with his brothers(probably with a beer in his hand), or home sharing his mechanic skills with his boys, or spending time with the love of his life, Pat.
Daniel spent his retirement days in his backyard shop playing guitar or pool, listening to political podcasts(TRUMP LOVER!!!), caring for his dogs, and having his nightly dinner with his ol' lady.
Daniel was a unique character. He was loud, brutally honest, had no filter, and LOVED to talk, even when no one was listening. He was a steady provider for his family, a loyal friend, and a go-getter. And NOBODY CAN FORGET THAT LAUGH!!!
He is preceded in death by his grandparents and aunt Melva Martin.
Daniel is survived by his wife Patricia Beach, uncle Bill Martin, step-daughter Donna Adams and husband Robert, twin stepsons Ralph Beach III and Terry Beach and wife Tracy, 6 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Also noteworthy are close friends "Uncle John" Kilgore, Daniel Davidson, Kristi Boyd Lepek (official political debate partner), and "Frankenstein".
