Daniel Lee Welbaum, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 73. Born in Troy, Ohio, Daniel moved to California with his family in 1963 and made the Golden State his home.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Mary Jo; brother, Doug; sister, Terri; wife, Debra; sons, Donny and Eric; and grandchildren, Madyson and Jackson. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will remember him for his kind heart, his love of music, and his talented hands.
A skilled guitarist, Daniel had a passion for music that brought joy to all who knew him. He was also a gifted car mechanic, able to fix just about anything with an engine. For many years, Daniel worked alongside his father, Norman, at Northrop, where he played a critical role in the development of the B-2 bomber plane, using his expertise to x-ray parts and ensure the aircraft's safety and success.
