Judith Ann Welbaum, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was born on July 24, 194 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Judy loved God and her parents, Donald D. Welbaum and Mazie A. (Greek) Welbaum who preceded her in death in 1997 and 2005. Judy also loved her sister, Sandra E. Lux as her best friend, who preceded her in death.

Judy was a 1961 graduate of Elmhurst and a 1963 graduate of International Business College. She attended Waynedale United Methodist Church. Judy was employed in the accounting department of American Hoist and Derrick from 1963 to 1968, and Magnavox Government and Industrial Electronics division from 1968 to 1981, the last three years of which she worked and lived in Torrance, California. She was employed by Bluffton Harrison school district from 1985 to 1991 and Bluffton Animal Clinic, and retired from Markle Bank, Bluffton South in May 2005 after 15 years.

Judy loved life, gardening, traveling, line dancing, nature, and animals, giving homes to many homeless cats and dogs over a 30-year period. She also enjoyed volunteering after she retired. Some of her travels included Hawaii, Mexico, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Judy lived in Torrance, California for three years, and Bluffton, Indiana for 20 years.

Judy is survived by her brother-in-law, Doug Lux; nephew, Nick (Erika) Lux; Hailey, Jacob, Savannah, and Austin Lux; niece, Laura (Lux) Thompson, and Jeremiah and Jordan Thompson.

Judy will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
