BARRE - Daniel M. Zampieri, 65, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at home surrounded by family and close friends. Born on August 17, 1960, in Barre. He was the son of Joseph and Brenda (Blakey) Zampieri. He attended Barre City Schools and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1978. He began his career at Harry Wilkins Harley Davidson, Bevins Speed and Cycle, Houle Auto Sales, Guilmette's, Marsha Motors and Granite Importers. Dan fulfilled his dream and started his own business, Dan Z's Auto Repair in 2009, retiring in 2023. In his spare time, he enjoyed building and riding any off-road vehicles and twisting a wrench for anyone in need. His Javelin, Chevota and TooHigh were among his own creations. Dan spent his younger years on dirtbikes, his dune buggy, and anything with a motor. He later enjoyed Mud Bogs, burnouts, 4-wheeling through the countryside of Williamstown, and camping. Dan had a kind sole and a generous nature, always helping family, friends and even strangers who were in need. Survivors include his wife, Jean (West) Zampieri, after nearly 45 years of marriage. His sons Michael Zampieri, Jonathan Zampieri and Daughter Jenna and her husband Leo Zampieri. His grandchildren, including Emma-Lee, Derrick, Karson, Scarlett, and baby Zampieri is on the way as well as his chosen kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His mother Brenda and brother David Zampieri. Last but not least, his beloved dog, Zeus. He is pre-deceased by his father, Joseph, brother James Zampieri and his dogs, Jake, Kiwi and Bailey. His funeral service will be at the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home on Thursday, September 11th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service in the Maplewood Cemetery, Barre Town. A luncheon and celebration of life will follow at the VFW in East Barre on route 302. Arrangements are in the care Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer Street in Barre.
