BARRE – Brenda A. Zampieri, 84, of Barre, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Pines Rehab and Health Center in Lyndon, VT. She was born on June 9, 1941, to Richard Roland Blakey and Heather Lillian (Spurling) Blakey in Barre. She attended Matthewson Elementary School and later Spaulding High School.
Brenda married Joseph (Joe) Zampieri on February 7, 1959, in Plainfield. She worked at Whelan’s Drug Store, and then Harry’s, and then finally retired from Aubuchon’s Hardware. She loved the owners, co-workers, and customers there. Her hobbies included growing flowers, shrubs and trees, and reading.
Brenda is survived by her son David Zampieri, brother Alfred (Carol) Blakey, many grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Zampieri, her sons James and Daniel Zampieri, her parents Richard and Heather Blakey, sister Lucille Cohen, brother-in-law Gerald Cohen, and brother Winfield Russell.
There will be a graveside committal to honor Brenda on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00 at Maplewood Cemetery in Barre. All that loved Brenda are welcome to attend.
Arrangements are in the care of Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
