Danielle "Dani" Renner

Danielle, better known as Dani, Leigh Renner, 40, of Topeka, Kansas passed away surrounded by love on April 22nd, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born in Topeka, Kansas, to Thomas Blair Morehead and Billie Jane Relihan, Danielle attended Topeka West High School and graduated in 2002. She then went on to attend Washburn University and, after graduation, accepted a position at Stormont Vail Health where she worked as a Cardiac Sonographer. Danielle loved her job and her co-workers were some of her very best friends.

In 2011 Danielle began dating Todd Renner whom she had worked with for several years at Old Chicago. Together they fell deeply in love and were married on June 9th, 2012. They went on to raise two beautiful girls, Sydney Stevens and Reese Renner who were Danielle’s pride and joy, and both girls agree that their mother was their best friend.

Danielle was a bright, positive person who’s smile would light up a room. She was best known as a giver- whenever she was out she wasn’t focused on herself, she was making sure that those around her were having a good time. No one was ever a stranger when they were around Danielle. She could strike up a conversation with just about anyone and was a safe place for many to come to for advice, a listening ear, words of encouragement, or a shoulder to cry on.

In her spare time Danielle volunteered with her daughters at Helping Hands Humane Society, loved a good craft, comedy shows, cheering on the Chiefs, Royals, and KU Jayhawks, and taking in the fresh air and incredible views of the Colorado Mountains.

Danielle leaves behind her loving husband of 12 years, Todd Renner, two daughters, Sydney Stevens and Reese Renner, mother, Billie Relihan, father, Thomas Morehead, and sister, Michelle (Shaun) Wilson.

Services will take place on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at Grace Community Church, 4300 SW Burlingame Road, Topeka, KS 66609 with a visitation from 10:00-11:00AM and memorial services beginning at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations towards funeral costs. Extra donations will be put toward an education fund for Sydney and Reese.

Danielle’s vibrant spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family and friends will forever be remembered and celebrated. Her legacy of generosity and warmth will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
