Danney R. Dailey, Sr., 76, passed away peacefully and comfortably on Sunday, September 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Coon (CA); mother, Jimmie Coon (CA); daughter, Katie Dailey (NC), Father, Ralph H. Dailey (WA); and brother, Ed Ray (WA). He is survived by his sons, Bryan Coon (NC); Danney Dailey (NC); his grandson, Jorden Dailey (NC); His brother, Ted Dailey (WA) and sister-in-law, Robin Dailey (WA), several nieces and nephews and their spouses and children from WA. He was an avid wrestling and action-movie fan. He was a huge Hulk Hogan fan. His youthful spirit and sense of humor were loved by those who knew him. His specialty was cooking deliciously-seasoned,loaded fried potatoes. He loved peanut M&M's. Danney had an extensive background including serving first in the US Navy, then as a US Army Sergeant first at Ft. Carson, Colorado in Special Forces, Airborne, where he was often named "Soldier of the Month," then as a Pharmacy Technician at West Point Military Academy in NY, where he was Honorably discharged. He had been married previously and had three children while serving in the US Army and attending Western Bible College in Colorado. He will be greatly missed.
