Danny P. Adams

 

Danny P. Adams, age 80, a resident of Brownsville, TN, departed this life on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN with Bro. David Peace officiating. Burial will follow at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

 

Danny was born on January 11, 1944, in Brownwood, MO to Henry Clay Adams and Addie Jo Ashcraft Adams. He worked as the General Manager for a radio station. He was a car enthusiast who loved fixing cars and selling them, especially Ford Mustangs. He had a deep love for music and played in a band through the years. He was a Baptist in faith. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Sullivan Adams of Brownsville, TN; two daughters, Sheila Adams of St. Charles, MO and Rhonda Barkley of Malden, MO; one stepdaughter, Hillary Brewer (Chris) of Oakfield, TN. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Addie Jo Adams. 

 

Pallbearers for the service will be Barry Sceals, Matthew Vestal, Nathan Peace, Roy McCage, Jr., Chris Brewer, and Keith Sullivan. 

 

The family has requested memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
