It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Herschel Adams, a devoted husband of 40 years, dad, paw paw, friend and master homebuilder. David passed away on February 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy built not only in wood and stone, but in love, integrity, strength and his relationship with his heavenly father.
For decades, David built his company David Adams Custom Homes, shaping houses, that became homes for countless families. He took pride in honest craftsmanship and believed that a strong foundation-whether in construction or in life-mattered most. His work stands as a lasting testament to his dedication, patience and attention to detail.
Beyond his profession, David’s greatest joy was his family. He was a steady presence, a trusted advisor, and a source of unwavering support. He cherished time spent with friends, sharing his embellished stories, laughter and the kind of companionship that only years of loyalty can build.
An avid lover of the outdoors, David felt most at peace under open skies. Whether sitting on his patio with Lori and their dogs, or at his deer lease, he found gratitude in life’s simple moments.
His greatest delight in recent years was spending time with his wife, Lori, his daughter Ashley, his son, Jake, and grandson, Braydan. From shared adventures to quiet conversations those moments brought him immense pride and happiness.
David will be remembered for the deep love he had for those closest to him. His memory will live on in the homes he built, the lives he shaped, and the family who carries his legacy forward.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lori Ann Adams, his daughter Ashley Denoma (husband Connor), his son, Jake Adams, Grandson, Braydan; his sister, Lisa Burnett, (husband Randy) and many nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his sister Lori Gay Adams, his father Hershel Otto Adams and his mother Ellen Gay Adams.
