Danny Buckman, 71, of Lebanon, KY, passed away on August 27, 2025.

Danny was born on February 2, 1954, in Lebanon, KY, to Robert "Bobby" Ray and Pauline (Malone) Buckman. He was a lifelong farmer in Marion County, raising hogs, beef cattle, corn, soybeans, and tobacco in his 60-year career. Farming was his life's passion, and he was blessed to spend his days working alongside his dad, brothers, and son doing what he loved. He was especially proud to be 'Pappy' to his two loving grandchildren and was able to share his love for farming with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack and Gerry Buckman.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sheliah Williams Buckman; five daughters, Emily, Olivia, Katie, Laura, and Elizabeth Buckman; one son, Benjamin (Kendra) Buckman; and two grandchildren, Mia Buckman and Finley Ray Buckman.

Pallbearers will be: Stephen and Jeremy Bagwell, Jason Benningfield, Parker Buckman, Derrick Downey, Eric Maupin, Joe Shively, and Jonathan Spalding. Honorary pallbearers will be: Matthew Buckman, Jeremy and Brian Loper, Todd Spalding, and Luke, Eli, and Jonah Thurman.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Bosley Funeral Home from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. ET, with a prayer service taking place at 7 p.m. ET.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Finley, Kentucky, on Wednesday, September 3, at 11:30 a.m. ET, with interment at the church cemetery.

In celebration of Danny's life, the family requests donations be made to Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church Grotto Project.
