Danny Lee Doty born in Belding, MI July 7, 1947 and passed away May 19, 2022 at 11:21pm at Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO. Danny is the Son of Ernest Doty and Geraldine Moyer.
Danny Is survived by his children; his son Randy Doty, his son Jeff and "Katie" Doty and his daughter Melissa and "Doug" Anderson. Danny had three sisters Dawn Hopkins of Belding, Mi, Patricia Johnston of Beckley, West Virginia, and Carol Doty of Belding, MI. Danny also had many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was close to is his Uncle Emmit Moyer and his Cousin Monte Doty of Spring Hill, FL and Byron Doty from Venice, FL. Danny had six Grandchildren Makayla Lambert, Rachel Eason, Nathaniel Doty, Emily Proper, Megan Sandefur, and Shelby Anderson. Danny has five Great Grandchildren Liam lambert, Easton Lambert, Kaden Brooks Lambert, Hayes Eason, and Keeilah Proper.
Danny served In the United States Navy as a Radioman. He was on the U.S.S. Hornet from 1965 - 1966 and the U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard from 1966 - 1968. He had an Honorable discharge from the Navy March 15, 1971. He received the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, National Defense Medal, Republic Block of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Danny was retired. He worked many jobs throughout his years. He worked as an over the road truck driver, he worked at Shell Gas Station, and his most recent job was working for City Market at the gas station area.
Danny loved to spend time with his three dogs. He would take them on car rides to the dog park and let them play.
Danny will be missed by his family and friends.
