Nancy Floyd

Nancy Floyd, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026 at the age of 86.

Born on November 15, 1939 in Byers, Texas to Edith and Robert Fleming, she was the epitome of a life well lived. She married the love of her life Dean Floyd on April 28, 1959. They were married for 53 years, before Dean passed away in 2012.

Nancy was a dedicated employee of the Andrews Independent School District for 52 years. She worked in the school cafeterias and also served as the "coffee lady" for the AISD Administration Building and School Board for more than 30 years. She attended Andrews High School, and she loved and appreciated her time working for AISD.

Nancy's legacy is carried on by her loving family who are left to cherish her memory: daughter Teresa Floyd of Andrews, TX; son Darrell Floyd and fiancée Geneva Jones of Princeton, TX and Houston, TX; brother W.L. Fleming and wife Patsy of Kerrville, TX; and brother Ron Fleming and wife Terrie of Magnolia, TX. Nancy's joy was multiplied even further through her grandchildren and great grandchildren: grandson Tyler Floyd and wife Andi of Dallas, TX and their two children Calvin and Vivian; and granddaughter Brittany (Floyd) Benitez and husband Alex of Grand Junction, CO. Extended "family members" include her "adopted daughter" Vickie Midgett of Odessa, TX and Johny Rivas and wife Ritzy of Midland, TX along with their boys Keneth and Jonathan.

Mrs. Floyd was a faithful member of the House of Mercy Ministries in Andrews. She loved her family, and she loved her church.

Nancy is now reunited with her husband Dean (just the way she wanted it).

A visitation will be held on Saturday morning February 7, 2026 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at McNett Funeral Home. Then a Memorial Service will follow beginning at 10:00 am at McNett Funeral Home. The family will then convene briefly at the Andrews West Cemetery for the burying of the ashes.
