Danny Clyde Gibbs, 74, of Omega, Georgia went to sleep on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. John Gibbs officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Danny was born January 17, 1950 to the late Louie and Ruby Luverene Pike Gibbs of TyTy, Ga.
Danny graduated from Tift County High School. After graduation, he farmed for years, got an excavator and dug ponds and went into road construction and clearing. He loved to hunt, fish and work in his yard. He also loved shooting pool and Nascar racing.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Linda Dorminy Gibbs; his son Jamie Gibbs (Missy) and daughter Jodi Gibbs Evans (Jon) both of Tifton, two granddaughters, Jessica Gibbs of Omega and Christen Gill (Jeremy) of Tifton, his great granddaughter, Ruby Lynn Gill and great grandson, Charlie Gill of Tifton, his brothers, Albert S. Gibbs (Maryanne) of Tifton, Lewis W. "Billy" Gibbs of Clermont, Florida and sister Renee Gibbs Evans of TyTy. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cherie Gibbs Kendrick, Brother Jerry Wayne Gibbs, the best friend he ever had, his most cherished bull dog Sam, who he said “always had my back protected”.
