Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors - North May AveDanny George Hale, a devoted husband, father, and beloved grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at his home in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 76.
Born in Big Cabin, Oklahoma, on April 27, 1949, to George Hale and Faye Comer, Danny's journey began in Ochelata, Oklahoma. It was there that he met his soulmate, Sharon, whom he married and shared nearly 54 years of an extraordinary life together.
Danny's life was a vibrant testament to his quirky personality, unwavering optimism, and kind, fun-loving spirit. A true music enthusiast, you could always find him at concerts or jamming to his extensive playlists. His curiosity wasn't limited to music, though; he also loved researching everything from sports cars to the latest gadgets.
Danny embraced every adventure, traveling the world with Sharon and his family. His grandchildren were the absolute light of his life; he was their biggest fan, cheering them on at band concerts, lacrosse, and softball games, and he especially enjoyed chauffeuring them around for lunch dates that always included ice cream. A true sun and ocean lover, he and Sharon built their dream home with a tranquil pool for all to enjoy—the perfect setting for him to showcase his legendary mojitos. Danny had an incredible gift for connecting with people; he truly never met a stranger and was loved by many.
Danny leaves behind his daughters, Stacy Lea Sawyer and husband, John, of Cabot, Arkansas, and Valerie Hale Ginn and husband, Daniel, of Edmond, Oklahoma, along with his adored grandchildren, Andrew, Reese, Paige, and Mason and a wide circle of family and friends.
Danny's quiet strength, kind heart, and quick wit will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will be etched forever in our hearts.
