Danny Hester, 67, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born on June 30, 1956 in Okolona, he was a son to Carl Winford and Rena Bell Springer Hester. He worked in the furniture industry for many years before becoming disabled and he was certified in small engine repair. On April 13, 2007 he married the former Angela Bennett. Danny loved going to yard sales looking for good deals and he would trade on just about anything. He enjoyed listening to music, singing, and fishing. Danny had a heart of gold and would help anyone that needed anything. He was a member of the Judah the Lord Jesus Christ Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with Bro. Scott Kitchens, Bro. Larry Monaghan, and Bro. Mike McCollum officiating. Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, Angela Hester, he is survived by two sons, Danny Hester, Jr. “D.J.” (Michelle) of Crestview, FL and Randall Hester (Tracy) of Amory; one daughter, Bridgett Hester McCreight (Joseph) of Eufala, AL; two brothers, Herbert Springer (Nona) of Amory and Carl Hester, Jr. (Linda) of Shannon; two sisters, Peggy Hamlett of Alto, TX and Debra Morris (Ricky) of Shannon; grandchildren, Mylaysha Twitty (Willie), Brooke McFarland (Jeremiah), Devin Hester (Chrisma Spradling), Dawson Hester, Emma Hester (Dylan Boyd), Ty Hester, Jaxon Hester, J.J. McCright, and Titus McCright; great grandchildren, Kimora Clark, Kamiya Twitty, and Wralo Twitty; numerous friends, special friends in the Amish Community; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Missy Hamlett.
Pallbearers will be Larry Hamlett, Will Bennett, J.J. McCright, Devin Hester, Ty Hester, Titus McCreight, and Todd Coley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dawson Hester, Jackson Hester, Jonathan Robbins, and Shane Robbins.
Visitation will be on Saturday from noon until service time.
