Mr. Danny Jolly, age 93, of Kingston, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 22, 2025, with his son and daughter-in-law at his side. Danny was born in Kingston, Georgia, May 28, 1932, son of the late John Mark Jolly, Sr. and Lella Vincent Jolly. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Charlotte Marshall Jolly, daughter, Wanda Elaine Jolly Branton, brothers, Lucius Vincent "Dink" Jolly, Joe Ben Jolly and John Mark "Jack" Jolley, Jr., and sister, Hazel Jolly Preston. Danny was a graduate of Cass High School, class of 1949, and veteran of the United States Army. He worked as an electrician for over 40 years and a proud member of the IBEW Local 613. He enjoyed attending property and estate auctions and reading anything that he could get his hands on. He was a very accomplished baseball player himself and loved cheering on his most cherished Atlanta Braves. Danny was an avid bird hunter, especially fond of quail hunting. To know Danny was to love Danny. He went through life with a kind heart, and spirit, joy in his heart, and a twinkle in his eye. He never missed an opportunity to listen to or tell a good story. Danny was a loving father, grandfather and uncle, cherished by his family and friends and his legacy of kindness, goodness, honor, respect, gratitude and love of family will carry on. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Laura Jolly; grandchildren, Thad Jolly (Allison), Madison Bankston (Russo), Eric Garrett and Patrick Garrett; great-grandchildren, Axel Knight, Hunter Garrett, Jacob Garrett and Hannah Kilpatrick; great-great grandchildren, Lane Garrett, Raylynn Garrett, Kinsley Kilpatrick, Bristol Kilpatrick, Caroline Garrett, Charlotte Garrett, and Benjamin Garrett; and several nieces and nephews. Honoring Danny's wishes he will be cremated with a private service held at a later date. R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Danny Jolly.
