Danny Leach

Danny Leach, 84, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by his family. He was born on June 1, 1939 in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Howard and Norma (Brown) Leach. Danny married Edna Riggs on October 24, 1958 and together they enjoyed sixty-five years of marriage centered around their family.
Danny will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart and he always looked forward to holding the new additions to his family. In his free time, Danny liked being outdoors, rabbit hunting and fishing with family and friends. He could often be found tinkering around in his shop. During family gatherings, Danny always enjoyed preparing the main course. His favorite meal when he was out was always catfish.
Danny was a hard worker where he spent many years in the heating and air business. He worked for Sharp and Williams, Jeff Parker before he went out on his own. He retired from the Mount Carmel Water Department. During his working career, Danny made many friendships. Danny was a member of Mount Carmel Church of Christ. Danny never met a stranger; always had a friendly smile and a wave for everyone. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Danny will be remembered by his loving wife, Edna Leach; three sons, Jerry Leach, Gary Leach and wife, Mandy, Mike Leach and wife, Becky; daughter, Beth (Leach) Bunting and husband, Dustin; grandchildren, Jeremy Nathan Leach, Brandon (Krystle) Leach, Paula (Joey) Molstad, Caleb (Nicolette Juncker) Leach, Jonathan (Cara) Leach, Matt Leach, Leah Bunting, Luke (Ally Pierce) Bunting; great grandchildren, Jeremail Leach, Alex Slunder, Mya Leach, Malachi Leach, Zoey Molstad, Phoebe Leach, Olivia Leach, Milo Leach, and Eden Leach; great-great grandchild, Lelani Rose Leach.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ed Leach, Rodney Leach, and Sandra Leach.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Memorial Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
