Chapel of Hope Funerals & CremationsDanny Lee Lovell, 69, of Hobbs, NM passed away on August 16th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Danny was born to B.J. and Hazel Lovell of Midland, TX, on December 29th, 1955. Danny met his wife, Marva while working on a farm in Tahoka, TX. They married October 16th, 1979, and later moved to Midland, TX where he went to work for Gulf Oil, better known as Chevron USA. They moved to Eunice, NM in 1985 where he spent 38 ½ years working in the oilfield. He made many, many friends there that he later referred to in life as his Chevron family. He loved watching his children, Danna and Dustin, play many sports and cheerlead. He also loved playing golf, fishing, hunting and camping and of course a loyal and avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Danny is preceded in death by his father and mother, brother, Jim Lovell, mother-in-law, Barbara Pierce, brother-in-law Joey Pierce and one grandson, Aaron Bo Aten. Danny is survived by his wife, Marva Lovell, children, Danna Botros (Jonathan) of Lubbock, Dustin Lovell (Amanda) of Midland, 4 grandchildren, Kannan Lee and Lincoln Ramzi Botros, Lillian Aneil and Matthew Jacob Lovell, brother Mike Lovell (Cynthia), father-in-law Marvin Pierce (Emily), sisters-in-law, Connie Braddock (Mike), Gena Pierce and Chris Lovell, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
