It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny L. Lynch, a remarkable individual whose spirit touched the lives of many. Danny passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on July 8, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will forever be cherished by family and friends.
He was the beloved husband of Shelley (Weinberg) Lynch for 44 years.
Born on March 19, 1946, he was the son of the late Nathanial Harding (Jack) and Dorothy (Owen) Lynch. Formerly of California, he spent the last 38 years in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He honorably served in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Vietnam War.
Danny was known for his incredible intelligence and a charming smile that could light up any room. He had a unique ability to draw people in, becoming a magnet for friendships and connections that spanned a lifetime. His unwavering determination and fighting spirit were evident in everything he did; he was a man who never knew the meaning of "quit."
As a devoted family man, Danny instilled invaluable lessons in those he loved, serving as a protector and guiding light. His great sense of humor and fun-loving nature brought joy to all, and his infectious laughter will be sorely missed. Whether he was cracking a one-liner or playing a game of pool, Danny had a way of making every moment memorable. A jack of all trades, he had a passion for engines and cars, often spending hours tinkering and fixing anything that needed repair.
His hard work in the construction industry showcased his remarkable skills and dedication, earning him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He was a man who could fix anything, and his resourcefulness was admired by all who knew him.
Danny had a deep love for the ocean from his California roots, where he enjoyed surfing and cherishing the moments spent by the shore to reflect and recharge. His twinkling eyes and mischievous smile were a testament to his zest for life, and he approached each day with enthusiasm and joy.
Above all, Danny was a supportive friend and family member, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His kindness and generosity will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His presence was always a pleasure to share, and his wisdom was warm and welcoming. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Danny is survived by his wife Shelley, his daughter, Jacqueline Marie Lynch, of AZ, his stepson, Gregory Trautman, of CT, his siblings, William (Anna) Lynch, of CA, Jack (Carolyn) Lynch, of GA, Nancy Salazar, of CA and RI, his grandchildren, Belle Emilie Gold, Natalie Siena Trautman and Juliet Gabriella Trautman. He additionally leaves his nieces and nephews, Dana (Maire Gustafson) Weinberg, Gabe (Jane Sherwood) Salazar, Nathan Salazar, Gabriel Salazar III, AJ Salazar, Jasmine Lynch, Melvin Lynch, Astra (Mario) Alvarez, Jacob Alvarez, Giselle Alvarez, and Mario Alvarez III, his brother-in-law, Michael Weinberg, and his dear friends who were like family, Dena Pengas, Avram Pengas, and Alex Feldman.
A Celebration of Life for Danny will be announced at a later date.
