Danny Mitchell Obituary
Funeral service for Danny Mitchell, age 77 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Wheat and Rev. Lee Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00P.M. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Mitchell passed away on august 6, 2023 at his residence.
Danny was born on December 16, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to Reginald H. “Son” and Syble (Smith) Mitchell. He married Kathy Lawson on July 17, 1965 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Danny was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Ocean Spray and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s office. Danny was a Deacon at the Richand Baptist Church and a member of the Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Michelle Mitchell Vititow; son, Brandon Mitchell; grandchildren, Amanda Davis and husband, Dillon, Payton Mitchell; great grandchildren, Daniel Brian Bailey, Shelby Bailey and Maverick Northcutt; brothers, Donald A. Mitchell and Ricky M. Mitchell; sister, Cathy Lynn Mitchell.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents.
