With incredible grief for our loss yet deep gratitude for the life Danny shared with us, we announce the passing of Danny Palacio on July 21, 2024, he was 62 years old.

Danny received his cancer diagnosis in December 2023. In spite of his cancer, in spite of the chemotherapy, Danny continued to go about his daily life with no complaints. He won his fight for life by facing his cancer with incredible determination while working full time, being an amazing employee who showed up to work every day and being a great dog dad to Zima, who is spoiled rotten. While his time on earth was shorter than we would have liked, we are thankful for the time that we had with him.

Danny was born to Andrew and Catalina Palacio on July 17, 1962 and grew up in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1980 and soon after graduation he moved to Dallas, TX where he lived until he returned home to Amarillo in 2018, He was lovingly known to his family as RoRo, DoDo, and Pom Pom.

Survivors include his parents, Andrew and Catalina Palacio of Amarillo, TX, sister Vicky Tunnell and husband Kelly, of Clarendon, TX, brother Mark Palacio and wife Erin of Amarillo, TX; nieces, Tori Palacio and Teryn Palacio; lifelong friend, Dann Birkholz of Dallas, TX; as well as many dear cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Danny faced this incredible adversity with dignity and determination and is absolutely heroic.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
