Conde Marie George White, 92, of Amarillo, TX, passed away August 26, 2025.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Conde was born July 22, 1933, in Pampa, TX to William Conde George and Gladys Marie O’Neall George.
She was a proud graduate of Amarillo High School and stayed in touch with her high school chums. After graduating from Amarillo College, she attended Texas Tech for one semester.
She married James Newton White, the love of her life, on March 20, 1954, in Amarillo, TX.
After many moves, she returned to her beloved Amarillo in 1974, where she became active in the Potter County Extension Service’s Morning Star Club.
Conde was renowned for her exceptional cooking skills and creativity, especially when it came to using fishing line. She was a wonderful mother to her own children and many others. Conde cherished spending time in New Mexico and Colorado, enjoying crafting and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Paula Elizabeth George Bright; brother-in-law, Edwin Benjamin Bright; brother, Dr. John Edwin George; sister-in-law, Jaye George; son, Donald James White; nephew, Forrest Lee McKinney; husband, James Newton White; and great-granddaughter, Baby Weis.
Survivors include daughter, Wendie White Woodward (Jeff), sister, Sheila Helen George Bright; grandchildren, Claire Elise Woodward Duren (Ryan), Audrey Lee Woodward, Grace Isabel Woodward (Remington Weis), William Conde Woodward, Thomas Evan Woodward, James Davis White, and Daniel Joseph White; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Elizabeth White, Asher Lee Duren, and Nora Weis, who is expected to arrive in December 2025.
The family appreciates memorials honoring Conde being made to Amarillo Meals-on-Wheels.
