Lonitta “Nitta” Gay Brown, 68, of Amarillo, TX passed away, Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Rector Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S Osage St.

Nitta was born August 1, 1957, in Groom, Texas to Don Wells and Charlene Sargent.

Nitta grew up in Amarillo and attended Lawndale Elementary, Bowie Junior High, and graduated from Caprock High School.

She married Keith Brown 47 years ago on November 2, 1978 in fort Worth, Texas. She worked for Robertson Fleet in Fort Worth Texas.

Nitta loved bowling, fishing, NASCAR, painting rocks, twirling, and had the “gift of gab”.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Callie Brown.

Survivors include her son, husband, Keith Brown; her father Don Wells of Amarillo; son Aaron Williams and wife Anita of Burkburnett, Texas; son Bryan Brown; daughter Misti Hargiss of Amarillo; brothers Rodney Wells and wife Leslie, and Craig Wells both of Amarillo; grandchildren: Payton Brown, Nicholas

Brown, Shelby Brown, Lilliana Williams, Jacob Williams, and Erabella Williams all of Amarillo.
