DANNY SHELTON, age 66 of Athens, Tenn. passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in elect Medical Fort Sanders in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County and preceded in death by his Father: Clyde Shelton and a Brother: Marvin Shelton. He was a Woodcutter and former employee of Titan Industry. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church..
Survivors: Mother Mollie Goins of Athens, Tenn., Brother: David Shelton of Athens, Tenn., Best Friend: Joyce Jones, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday in Short Creek Cemetery with Rev. Van Elkins officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jamie Shelton, Jerimiah Shelton, Nathanial Shelton, and Jason Shelton. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home.
