Danny Lee Snyder, a man with an old soul and traditional values, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2024, in Portland, Tennessee. Born on September 8, 1978, in Portland, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents. Danny is survived by his parents Steve and Elaine Snyder, his loving wife of 16 years Kelly Snyder, and the beloved dogs Sadie and Bobo. Danny is also survived by his sisters Beth (Chris) Clark and Keri McGee, as well as his nieces and nephews Lizzy, David, Aaron, Shane, Rick, and Brent. Danny also leaves behind many other family and friends both near and far.

Danny had a deep appreciation for nature and cherished memories of salmon fishing and crab trapping with his father in Oregon. He found solace and joy in the tranquility of Tennessee. He spent many peaceful days trout fishing on Center Hill Lake. His love for fishing was a testament to his patient and steadfast nature. Danny's true passion lay in homesteading. He embarked on a remarkable journey to create his own sanctuary from scratch. With unwavering determination and boundless energy, he cleared every inch of his property by hand. Each tree he chose to keep held special significance as he carefully curated his slice of paradise.

His dedication extended beyond just homesteading; Danny tended to his garden with what can only be described as "three green thumbs." Orchids thrived under his caring touch, serving as vivid symbols of life and growth. His ability to nurture and sustain all things green was both admirable and inspiring.

Not only did Danny possess a deep connection with nature, but he also had an unwavering commitment to his loved ones. A protective and private person by nature, he formed unbreakable bonds with those lucky enough to be part of his small circle of close friends. Loyalty defined him. He was sincere in his actions and genuine in his relationships.

Danny's proudest accomplishments were the ones that showcased his resilience and determination. His homesteading ventures, his ability to create something beautiful from nothing, spoke volumes about his indomitable spirit. His passion for self-sufficiency manifested itself in the care he took in raising chickens and turkeys. He even went so far as to hatch a brood of chickens on his own, infusing new life into his beloved homestead.

Above all else, Danny put the well-being of his family first. Whether it was ensuring their needs were met or lending a helping hand when times were tough, he always made sure they were taken care of. Another shining example of Danny's dedication was seen in his collaboration with his wife in the kitchen. While she cooked, he diligently cleaned, ensuring that their home was both nurturing and harmonious. Their unity mirrored their deep love and provided a warm and inviting environments for all who entered their threshold.
