Danny Lee Thomas, Jr. was born on December 7, 1979 to Lisa Coker and Danny Lee Thomas, Sr. and danced his way into Heaven on January 8, 2025. He graduated with the class of 1999 from Fannindel High School in Ladonia, TX. He lived in Navarro County for the past 12 years.
A Memorial Service to celebrate a life well-lived will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Commerce Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
Danny enjoyed drawing, music, and animals. He also loved fishing, riding 4 wheelers, and playing video games. Danny never met a stranger. He possessed a rare ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His personality, affectionate heart, generous spirit, humor, and relentless optimism inspired a multitude of people. Danny’s unique perspective on life was a precious gift, and his passion for cherishing every moment with loved ones was a testament to his extraordinary character. His mischievous smile could brighten even the darkest days and his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Left to cherish his precious memory are his mother, Lisa Coker; father, Danny Lee Thomas, Sr. (Carolyn); brother, John D. Chaney (Viktoria); sister, Katie M. Chaney-Crosby (Billy); sister, Wendy Coker-Stowe (Eric), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Danny was preceded in death by step-father, Billy A. Coker; grandparents, Cathey and Ray McClure, and JW and Allene Thomas; uncles, Keith E. Thomas, Wayne Thomas, and Billy Thomas; and his beloved dog, Maybelline.
