Danny Vinson

Danny Vinson 55, of Kokomo, passed away at 4:05am Sunday, April 14, 2013 at his residence. Danny was born April 26, 1957 in Oceanside, CA to Thomas B. Vinson and Rita Jo Ann Winegardner (Moore), who survive. His marriage to the former Vicki L. Mulvaney, who also survives was in Las Vegas, NV March 2, 2004. Danny served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He went to San Jacinta College in the Journeyman Electrician Program from 1982 – 1986. He also worked at Chrysler for 20 years as an electrician. During that time he was a member of the U.A.W 685 and served as Union Steward. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, and motorcycles. His favorite time of year was the 4th of July. He loved spending time with family and friends, with the day ending with a spectacular fireworks display. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his girls and all of his grandchildren. His motto was "To Love with Conviction and Fight with Conviction" Survivors include his wife Vicki L. Vinson, six daughters; Lindsey Lease, fiancée (Matt Thomas), Desiree Iseminger, (Jake), Nicole Taylor, Heather Stevens, Jennifer Roberts, (Braxton), Stacy Smith (Rawtavius), his father, Thomas B. Vinson, his mother and step father; Rita Jo Ann Winegardner (Ronald G.), two brothers; David Vinson, fiancée (Brenda Davis), and Gary Winegardner, (Cynthia), five sisters, Victoria Vinson, (David Bricknell), Kathy Dewitt, Kelly Alder, (Rusty), Suzann Vinson Cox, and Julie Vinson Karterud (Mike), nine grandchildren and one on the way, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ike and Esther Moore. There will be a Memorial visitation from 3pm – 6pm Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street. The Memorial service will start at 6pm also at the Mortuary along with full Military Rites provided by the U.S. Marines and the Kokomo Military Rites team. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Danny's memory may be made to the Kokomo Rescue Mission. Envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
