He was born on January 28, 1951, in Boydsville, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Charlie and Lois Irene Ward.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Opie R. Ward, Teddy F. Ward, Charles M. Ward, Cecil M. Ward, and Randy J. Ward; sisters, Helen M. Whitworth, Cora Kathrine Mode, and Sonya L. Ward.
Danny is survived by his lifelong companion, Maxie Ward of Rector, Arkansas; children, Shiloh Ward, Danny Shay Ward, Carly Bearden, and Sonya Ward; bonus kids, Misty Kelley, Mika Kelley, and Bo Mills; grandchildren: Kailey, Dustin, Adree, Madison, Gage, Brayden, Adrianna, River, Caine, Jaxton, Zachary, Jayden, Keifer, Madison, Lexie, Allie and Lyndie; fiver great-grandchildren; brother, James Kevin Ward of Rector, Arkansas; sister, Sue Jean Busking of Owasso, Oklahoma; a special caretaker, Kasey Ellis; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Caine Walker officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Jarek Ellis, Jimmy Belote, Elijah, Austin Healy, Kevin Ward, and David Belote. Caine Walker will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
