Vicki M. Braden, 72, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away August 23, 2025, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
She was born on July 21, 1953, in Saint Louis, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Allison) Merriman.
Vicki was united in marriage to David Braden on August 24, 1990.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Merriman; mother; and her brother-in-law, Terry Qualls.
Vicki found great joy in expressing herself through both words and art. An avid painter and writer, her passions enriched her life and the lives of those around her.
Vicki is survived by her husband David Braden; her children, Carrisa (Jason) Mattison, Jenny Lynn Gibbs, Rick (Leah) Braden and Tim Gibbs; ten grandchildren, Ashlyn, Kenzlie, Allex, Logan, Jolie, Addy, Justice, Jason, Jr., Maddie, and Miles; many great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dewayne Merriman, Leonard Merriman, and Kenny Merriman; three sisters, Linda Qualls, Suzie Rudder, and Katrina (Randy) Worth; three sister-in-laws, Jean Ann, Sheri, and Joan; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Wayne Burchett officiating and Bro. Shelly Elkins assisting. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Allex Gibbs, Logan Wilburn, Justice Wilburn, Billy Hooten, Jason Mattison, and Randy Worth. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
