Danny Weeks, 89, of Butler, MO, formerly of Adrian, MO, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at his home. Funeral Service were held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO. Interment at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Memorial contributions can be made to Adrian United Methodist Church.
Danny Weeks was born on March 21, 1936, to his parents, Arnold Jasper Weeks and Ferne Lorene (Jenkins) Weeks, in Butler, MO. He graduated from Adrian High School and then went to college for education and eventually received his Master's from Kansas University. Danny married the love of his life, Barbara Sue Ehrhardt, on December 28, 1957, in Wyandotte County, KS. From this union, they had two children, Lisa and Kevin. Danny was an elementary teacher and principal who worked in several school districts. After he retired, he focused all his time on their farm in Adrian. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and attended the Adrian UMC regularly. When the weather was cooperative, you would find him either golfing or tending to his tomatoes. Danny also loved cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Go Chiefs!!!
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Weeks; grandson, Aaron Wolfe; brother, Sammy Weeks; and niece, Cindy Cosgrove. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Weeks, of the home; his daughter, Lisa (Vernon) Wolfe; grandchildren: Ryan Wolfe, Jarred Wolfe, Jason Weeks, Brant Weeks, Whitney Wolfe, Tarrah Dyal, and Kristy Noel; sister, Judy (David) Vanderman; and several nephews and nieces and great-grandkids.
