Edmore- Danny Eugene Weide, age 72, of Edmore Michigan passed away at My Michigan Health Center in Alma, Michigan on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Danny was born on October 20, 1949, in Edmore to William and Virginia (Ross) Weide.
He was raised in the Millbrook area and graduated in 1967 with the first graduating class of Montabella High School. On August 20, 1994, at the Blanchard Wesleyan Church, Danny married Betty Roomsburg, his wife of 28 years. Danny was an over the road truck driver for many years, most recently for Bouma Furniture Express for 22 years. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus for all most any event. He also enjoyed camping, but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Danny was a member of the Blanchard Wesleyan Church in Blanchard, Michigan.
Danny is survived by his wife, Betty; four daughters, Brenda (Shawn) Bartlett, Deb Sleeseman, Teressa (Dan) Dood all of Blanchard, Christina (Scott) Curell of Reed City; stepchildren, Kimberlly (Kenneth) Houghton of Alma, Rachelle Loomis of Mt. Pleasant, Michael Dutcher of Colorado; a brother, Mike Weide of Blanchard; two sisters, Ann Weide of Millbrook, Peg Weide of Blanchard; 21 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren with two more on the way.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Schaeffer; and infant brother, Raymond.
A memorial service will be held for Danny on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11 A.M at the Millbrook Free Methodist Church with Pastor Dennis Curell officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
