Reflection of Life for Da’Quan D. Ayers
Da’Quan D. Ayers entered eternal rest on February 18, 2026, at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. Born on February 29, 2004, in Kansas City, Missouri, Da’Quan was the beloved only child of Lorine Ayers.
Raised in the Kansas City area, Da’Quan graduated from Center High School with the Class of 2022. He was a dedicated and faithful member of The Joshua House Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Adrianne C. Hendrix II. A bright and hardworking young man, Da’Quan was in his third year at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, majoring in journalism and broadcasting. His commitment to excellence earned him placement on the Dean’s List for three semesters, as well as recognition on the Ambassador List.
In the spring of 2024, Da’Quan was proudly initiated into the Alpha Mu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., a brotherhood in which he formed lifelong bonds. Beyond academics and service, Da’Quan was also a gifted and undefeated boxer, winning numerous matches and earning several championship belts—a testament to his determination, strength, and discipline.
Da’Quan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Ayers; his grandfather, RW Burrage; and his great aunt, Elizabeth Jones. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, fraternity brothers, friends, and all who were touched by his warm spirit and remarkable life.
Da’Quan leaves to cherish his loving mother, Lorine Ayers, six aunts: Belinda Ayers (Michael Sr.) Lilian Ayers, Nicole Ayers, Cynthia Ayers, Marsha Hooker (Terry), Latonya Hooker; three uncles: Tyrone Ayers, Billy Ayers, Dale Hooker; close cousins: Kierra, LaShantris, Sa’Tae, Sa’Quan, Aaron, Ta’Waun, Lilian, Mikah, Travon, and additional cousins and friends.
