Darcy Sheehe, 56, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025. Born on April 3, 1969, Darcy lived her life with energy, warmth, and a contagious joy that touched everyone who knew her.
A proud entrepreneur, Darcy was the owner of "Porch of Locks," a beloved hair salon where clients came not just for her skill, but for her vibrant spirit and genuine friendship. Her outgoing nature and zest for life made her a light in her community and a source of love and laughter for her family and friends.
Darcy enjoyed camping, gardening, and classic rock music-simple pleasures that reflected her appreciation for nature, creativity, and lively music to be shared with friends and loved ones.
She is survived by her grandmother, Mary Riss; her loving mother, Joyce Heald; her cherished daughter, Emma Hartley; and her dear siblings, Chad Heald, Clay Heald, and Sarah Heald.
She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Nick Riss and Jack Heald; her grandmother, Rita Heald; and her father, John Heald, Jr.
There will be a celebration of life held at the J. Claire Carmody American Legion Post 39 in Poultney, Vermont on May 10th at 2:00 PM. Honoring Darcy's wishes, there will be no burial.
Darcy's presence brought joy and connection wherever she went, and her memory will be held close in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
