RICHMOND, Ind. - Daren L. Wedemeyer, age 80, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Reid Health.
Born September 23, 1944, in Denver, Colorado, Daren was raised in Kiowa, Colorado, by Henry and Del Odessa Wedemeyer. After high school he served in the United States Army from 1964-1967 in the Vietnam war. He was a man of many trades, including truck driver, safety manager, private investigator, and EMT. In 1990 he moved to Richmond.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Wedemeyer; children, Christine Hittle, Roxanne Grizzle, stepdaughter, Ameilia Richardson, stepson, Charlie Adams; and brother, Frank Karash; several grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Judith E. Wedemeyer; stepdaughter, Michelle Adams; and his parents.
Visitation for Daren L. Wedemeyer will be from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Jacksonburg Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
